Child Care Resource & Referral, is a county-wide child care information and referral program. Services are funded with state and federal grants through the California Department of Education, with additional funds from local resources.

Our services: Free Child Care Referrals, Recruitment of New Child Care Providers, Child Care Licensing Assistance, Child Care Payment Program, Child Care for CalWORKS Participants, Trustline Registration, Plumas Rural Services Toy and Resource Lending Library, Workshops, Training Programs and Special Events.

We offer support to parents and the professionals who provide child care and development services.


TrustLine is the California registry of in-home and license-exempt child care providers (babysitters and nannies) who have passed a background check. TrustLine was created by the California Legislature to give parents an important tool to use when selecting a caregiver for their children. It is the only authorized screening program of in-home and license-exempt caregivers in the state with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI and access to California’s Child Abuse Central Index.
